Migrate’s low infrastructure design means you can be up and running in a matter of days, keeping your focus on what really matters - achieving timely results.

There are only two or three components to install (depending on your requirements), with no other supporting infrastructure. One of these is the server, which typically installs in hours and is fully configured in days. The other components are Windows based, and install in seconds.

Ongoing maintenance using our administrative tools is just as simple.

Migrate’s Windows based interface completely insulates the user from the technical complexities of the mainframe environment. As well, it automatically addresses all required connection and access issues transparently to the user.

The Analyzer component is a Windows tool that is perfectly suited to the analysis, cleansing and data transformation needs of moving data from one system to another. Even though it is Windows based, it is designed to handle the types and volumes of data you will encounter in mainframe environments.

Where you have existing tools that you would like to use as part of your migration project, the LegacyLink™ component will transparently supply the source data to that tool. This means that your existing tool set can have full access to the source data, just as if it were more accessing a database.

Migrate can access virtually any mainframe data. This allows you to minimize the tools you need to migrate your data to the target platform.

DB2 , IMS, VSAM and QSAM (non-relational flat files) can all be accessed and combined through a single interface. This minimizes complexity, and allows you to focus on the project itself, not the plumbing.

Implementation is simple and risk free

We offer an implementation plan that minimizes your risk. Using full featured evaluation software, you will see your mainframe data being accessed. During the evaluation you will also be able to confirm that the appropriate analytics and transformations are available. You can confirm within days that the installation meets your needs. Only then do you commit to licensing arrangements.

Our mainframe and data experts will show you how to use our Data Definition Wizard to select and define each data source, and how to get your migration project moving. If plans change along the way, you’ll also be able to add new transformations or data sources, or modify existing definitions to meet your changing needs. All this is done using our Windows based administrative tools.
